First Summer Teaching

I spent the summer on Maui again this year, but the difference was that I was there alone and I was teaching all summer.  I learned a lot about which kites are good to teach on and which kites are not.  I also learned about teaching lessons based around the student.  In general, my kitesurfing knowledge increased a lot this summer.  Here’s some pictures!

A Foil Revolution

The summer was great.  School has been tough this year, but all that is doing is making me more excited for next summer!

The BEST Summer

This summer I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to spend 9 weeks in Hawaii kiting some of the most beautiful places that I have ever been.  Check out the video that I made from the summer and some photos.

Kiting on Snowskates?

Today, we did an introductory kite lesson for Angelica from Hovland Snowskates. She picked it up really fast and she is looking forward to kiting on a snowskate in the winter and kiting in the water on a surfboard during the summer. We have been kiting on snowskates for the past 5 years and it is great to see Angelica and her snowskating crew getting into snowkiting. Learning to snowkite on a snowskate is a great way to go! We are thrilled to welcome another Ozone kiter into the world of kiting.

Half an Hour is all it takes?

Mac Hiller, a freshman at Summit High, learned to snow kite today. He learned the quickest yet and was riding in about half an hour! Who doesn’t have half an hour to come ride the wind?

2 Girls from Eaton came to kite!

The other day I had 2 girls from Eaton, Colorado come out to Lake Dillon for a kite demo!  They were in 5th and 6th grade.  They did fantastic and hopefully had lots of fun!  I can’t wait to see the again as kiters! If you’re interested in a demo, go here.

More Kiters!

Max and Walker from Summit High came out to the lake for a kite demo the other day!  They both did great and were riding by the end of the day.  If you’re interested in a demo, go here.
