Hello, my name is Emmet Sproul and I am an Ozone Team Rider.  I live in Bozeman, Montana and I am 19 years old.  I am a snow kiter and a water kiter.  I have been kiting since I was 9 and I’ve been with Ozone since I was 10 years old.  I mainly snow kite here in Montana, although the lakes have proven to be great water kiting in the summer.  I travel to Maui to kite there with my family in the summers.

I am an ambassador for Ozone, and my goal is to introduce kiting to kids and families.  I would like to take the sport from being something that dads do while their families watch to a sport that the whole family does together.  It is a fantastic way to spend time as a family, and learning on the snow is one of the best ways to begin the process!

I started the kite club at Montana State University in Bozeman, and our goal is to get more college students into the sport as well as bring the community of kiters at MSU together.  We hold trainer kite days and other introductory lesson style events.  We are hoping to eventually hold a Snowkite Jam as well!

I love strapless kitesurfing: anything from surfboard to skimboard to snow skate.  It is my favorite form of kiting because it is so technical and free.  I also really enjoy competing in freestyle events and races.  My kite of choice is the Ozone Enduro, because it combines the freedom of a wave kite with the power of a freestyle kite.

Kiting is a fantastic sport in all of its aspects.  I hope to get more people into the sport, especially kids, because using the power of the wind to pull you over snow or water is one of the most amazing feelings in the world.  Everyone should experience it.
